Here you'll learn how to "Correctly" Market to Safelists.
You should have already received
the instructions on how to use the safelists from our Training and
Opprotunity Calls. If not, please take the time to read this ENTIRE page.
Step 1 - Creating your email accounts
Simply
set up 2 free yahoo email accounts and join as many
safelists as you can for free. (One email account for your contact
address and the
other for your List address). Many safelists do not allow free email
accounts such as "Yahoo" but do not worry. Just set up 2 of your GDI
email accounts (you're allowed to have 10) to forward to the 2 Yahoo
accounts. Note: Do not use any of your personal accounts because you'll
receive hundreds of emails per day.
Example:
Your GDI domain is named www.JohnDoe.ws
Create jd@johndoe.ws in your GDI back office and foward all emails to jd@yahoo.com
Create jd2@johndoe.ws in your GDI back office and forward all emails to jd2@yahoo.com
Step 2 - Join Safelists
You must not join a safelist where you have to pay to use it. Safelists come a "dime a dozen." To search for safelists click here for
google or go to any other major search engine and search "safelists" or
"safelist
directory". If you use a safelist directory then you should never join
more than 3 or 4 from any given directly because you'll only receive
many duplicate emails. Always use your newly "GDI" created email
accounts when joining the safelists. This is, once again, because many
safelists do not allow yahoo email accounts.
Example:
Join a safelist using jd@johndoe.ws
as your Contact email account where they ask for your Contact email
address. Then where they ask for your list email account use
jd2@johndoe.ws. Remember that these email accounts are forwarding all
emails to your yahoo accounts.
Note: In most cases you will be required to go to
your contact and/or list account to confirm your subscription. Simply
click on to the suggested link to confirm. You may also, in rare cases,
be required to first send a mailing before you are activated. If this
is the case then follow their instructions or send something like
this.
Follow
this same procedure throughout joining several safelists. Always use
the same email accounts in the corresponding places as in the example
in Step 1. Your list email account ( jd2@yahoo.com ) is the one where
you'll receive hundreds of emails per day and will be the one you'll be
working with. Your contact email account (jd@yahoo.com ) will also
receive several
emails but mainly administration emails. Keep in mind that you will
never insert your yahoo account directly into the safelists. Your GDI
email accounts should ALWAYS be used. Make sure that your GDI accounts are forwarding to the appropriate Yahoo accounts.
Then sit back and collect the mail. You
know what to do next... You now have the freshest source of
net-marketer leads money could ever buy. And you have them all for
free. Start adding those names and email addresses into your invite
system immediately after you've read and understand how to maximize
your business using safelists with GDI.
Step 3 - Optimizing Your Email Account (after several days)
Extracting these prospects from thousands of emails is very simple
or it could be very difficult if you don't know how. Within 3-4 days
you should have at least 5,000 emails to sort through. This all depends
on how many safelists you joined and how many subscribers they each
have.
Keep in mind that just because you
have 5,000 emails, this does not mean that you'll actually have to open
all of them. You only need the emails that contain email addresses and
First and Last names. So we'll start by gathering all emails into one
folder. For the fastest results you'll want to change the settings of
you email account to show the maximum number of emails on each page
which is 200. This will allow you to move 200 emails at a time instead
of the default setting of 25 emails. Go to Options, then General
Preferences then"Messages per Page". Change this to 200.
Now,
go to your inbox and move all messages to a created folder named "ZZZ".
Do this by putting a check in the box directly above and to the left of
the first email. This is called the "Sender Box". This should
automatically check all 200 emails on that page. Then left click the
"Move" link. A drop down window should open. Click the link at the very
top of the drop down window that says "New Folder". Another window will
open giving you the option to type in the name of your new folder. Name
this folder "ZZZ". After you've name the new folder, all emails will
move to that folder. If you had more than 200 emails in the inbox then
you'll have to click on the "Next" link to move the next set of 200
emails to the ZZZ folder. Only this time you will not have to create
it. Simply put a check in the "Sender Box" then left click the "Move"
icon and left click the ZZZ folder. Do this until your inbox is empty.
Then follow the same procedure with moving your entire bulk folder to
the ZZZ folder.
Now you're ready to start deleting the emails that you do not
need. Left click the "Search Mail" icon (Not the "Search the Web"
icon). By default, all of the categories are set for "containing". You
need to go down to the "Body" field and change the setting to "Does not
Contain". In the field to the right of that, type in the "@" symbol.
Then go down to the bottom of the page where it says "Look in Folders".
You need to put a check beside the "ZZZ" folder only. Then left click
the "Search" icon below that field. This will give you a list of all
the emails in your "ZZZ" folder that does not contain an email address
(because every email address has the "@" symbol of course). Simply
delete all of these emails (200 at a time) by putting a check in the
"Sender Box" and left clicking the "Delete" icon. Then left click the
"Next" link. Delete the next 200. Repeat the process until all of these emails
(that do not contain the "@" symbol) are deleted.
Step 4 - Download Mozilla Firefox
By now you should be familiar with using the Mozilla Firefox.
Download this browser and install it on your computer. Keep the
shortcut to this browser on your desktop because you'll be using it
often. As you'll soon find out, working with Mozilla Firefox allows you
to work much smoother and with ease than the Internet Explorer and
other populat browsers.
The most important
feature you need to know about the Mozilla Firefox is that you can have
several pages open at once but under different tabs. First run or open
the software if you haven't done so already. You should set your Yahoo
email account (the one with the safelist emails) as your default home
page. This saves a lot of time for you in the future. Once you have
your Yahoo account opened inside the Mozilla Firefox you need to left
click the "File" menu in the upper left corner of your browser. Then
left click on the "New Tab" option. Don't worry, your Yahoo page is
still open. Now in the empty browser window log into your GDI back
office. Go to the "Invite Area". Where you see the "subject" line of
your message paste... Private Invitation for %first_name% %last_name% inside that area. This subject line has been proven to get the most response.
Also www.%first_name%%last_name%.ws has worked for me in the past. Of course these fields will be customized to
each prospect that you send your messages to.
Note: You can switch back and forth from page to
page simply by left clicking on the "tab" that you need. All pages will
remain open until you close them out by left clicking on the red "x" on
the right of the last tab. The page that is open at that time will be
closed.
Step 5 - Extracting Prospects from Safelists
Once you've optimized your email account, downloaded the
Mozilla Firefox browser, and set your subject line as described above
you're now ready to start extracting leads (prospects). Switch back to
your yahoo account by clicking on the first tab (it should read
"Yahoo"). Find the first email in your "ZZZ" folder and open it. Search
it for a first and last name. Many times the first and last name will
be at the bottom in the signature line, but not always. Copy the first
and last name by dragging (hold down the left click and "run over" the
words) your mouse accross it. Then Right Click on the highlighted area
and select "Copy". Left click onto the "Website.WS" Tab (your invite
area) and paste the first and last name into the first name field. This
is done by Right Clicking inside the input box and selecting the
"Paste" option. Then double left click the prospect's last name. It
should then highlight. Right Click on the highlighted area and choose
the "Cut" option. Now "paste" the prospect's last name into the "last
name" field. Go back to your "Yahoo" tab. Copy the email address of the
prospect using the procedure previously described and paste it into the
"Email" field.
You're not yet done with this prospect. Although it is
perfectly legal to email these leads you still need to save his/her
email just to be on the safe side. If someone "cries" SPAM then you
have proof that they emailed you first. With that email still open,
left click on the "Move" icon which is located at the top and bottom of
every email. You want to choose the "New Folder" icon once again and
create a new folder called "AAA". I chose this name because the folder
list is in alphabetical order therefore this folder will always be
located at the top. Note: You'll always be able to find this person
quickly by simply running a search for that prospect's email address in
the "AAA" folder. Saving these emails also comes in handy when a phone
number is present. Once a prospects actually watches your GDI
presentation then you may want to call him/her to make sure they don't
have any questions about the program.
Next, you need to make sure that you don't come accross that
prospect's email again while extracting. You would waste a lot of time
if that prospect comes up 50-100 more times. So to prevent this simply
go to the "Search Email" feature once again. As earlier, go to the
"Body" field and paste the email address into that field. The default
setting should already be set at "Containing". Put a check by the "ZZZ"
folder. Then search. If this prospect has sent you any other emails
they will appear on the "Search Results" page. Delete all emails that
appear here but be sure that you've followed the previous step of
saving his/her original email.
Go to the next email in your "ZZZ" folder and repeat this
process. Copy and Paste first and last name. Cut last name. Paste last
name. Copy email address. Paste email address. Save entire email to
"AAA" folder. Search "ZZZ" folder for duplicates.
Once you get this process memorized, nothing will be easier. Using
this process I'm able to add around 100 prospects to the invite system
per hour (using a DSL connection). This is taking into consideration
that I have to delete many unsubscribers as well. So with a good and
fresh safelist it's very possible to do more. You'll learn about the
"Unsubscribers" below.
Very Important Info About Sending Through The Invite System
More often than not, you'll receive a RED message at the top
of the page after sending invites. Stop Right There. Your messages have
not been sent. This is telling you that at least one of your prospects
has unsubscribed to receiving any further emails from GDI. The GDI
Invite System will give you the name and sequence number of these
unsubscribed
prospects. You must delete these prospects from the fields
in the invite system and then hit the "Send" button again. Or you may
substitute the unsubscribed prospects for NEW ones. But, always make
sure that there is no RED message at the top of the preceeding screen
and the system tells you that your invitations have been sent.
What to do when a prospects watches your movie
You will receive an email from GDI once someone has watched your
GDI movie/presentation. The subject line will look something like
this "John, a new GDI premium lead - action is required!". You
should add these prospects to your autoresponder immediately. If you do
not know what to put in the autoresponder you may use the messages on this page.
If you chose not to duplicate the nobullstuff.com site then that is
fine. You will just have to edit the messages to fit your own site or
your GDI affiliate website (www.website.ws/username). But most
importantly, be sure to send your prospects a thankyou/welcome email
with the 50 minute DVD presentation in it and ask if they have any
questions about the program. All of this works 10 times better with an
autoresponder. Of course you may browse the web for an autoresponder if
you don't already have one or you can obtain a free autoresponder here.
At
the very bottom of this page you'll see some safelists that I have
joined. They are only to be used as examples because over time
safelists need to be changed out. What do you think will happen when
everyone uses the same safelists? Exactly!!! How will you know if a
safelist is worn out? Simple... if when you extract names and addresses
from them and paste them into your GDI invite system and push "send"
you will have more than half of them showing in red letters at the top
of the page. When that happens it means that these people have already
unsubscribed to GDI. This also means that there may be several others
from GDI emailing these prospects. In order to start fresh... you will
of course, as stated above, need to create another email account and join all
new
safelists.
To do this you only have to delete the GDI List email account ( jd2@johndoe.ws
) that you created. This will stop all emails coming into your Yahoo "list" account
( jd2@yahoo.com
). You should completely empty out your Yahoo list account before
starting new safelists (excluding the folders where you saved all
emails sent through your GDI invite system i.e. Folder "AAA"). Then simply create
another
GDI list email account and have it forwarding to that same Yahoo list
account. It is not necessary to create another GDI Contact email
account. You may always use the same Contact account as long as you do
not let your Yahoo Contact mail box fill up. Occasionally check your yahoo contact
(junk) account and delete unwanted emails.
